Through the countless hours trading, educating and monitoring trader behaviour, the insights provided by the International Academy of Trading educators are extremely comprehensive and unique. Having successfully educated tens of thousands of traders to the very highest level our experienced educators know how best to give each individual trader the tools and knowledge to hone their trading skills. We do not engage in prediction, nor provide trading “tips”. We are strong advocates of trading from the charts based on the information that is presented to us through the movements of price. All events, knowledge and information is reflected in price movements which should be observed and traded accordingly. Trying to predict what US presidents say or do and the consequential impact of same on the markets, or what a price will be in the future, we believe is tantamount to glorified gambling or folly. The trajectory of a market determined by every piece of available information reflected in the price, coupled with sound risk management and capital preservation techniques are a more prudent and sustainable methodology to give the best possible opportunity for an individual trader to be successful. This is borne out through the countless happy traders our educators have had the pleasure to teach.

Tom Daly, Director of Trading Education, International Academy of Trading

With a background in Science, having studied Physics in Dublin City University, Tom has always taken a keen interest in mathematics, cause and effect. Having traded successfully with his own capital for many years, Tom went on to work in the brokerage space and subsequently ran a trading brokerage in the City of London. He is one of the world’s leading online trading educators having personally taught over 150,000+ financial traders from every continent.

Tom has unique experience trading his own capital, monitoring the trades of thousands of traders within a brokerage and educating hundreds of thousands of traders. From his position he is able to completely understand the actions and mindset of retail traders, knowing how they function and how they react when the markets move in unexpected ways.

Tom is hugely passionate about the markets and educating people about the realities of trading.

Tom is relentless in his belief that there is not enough practical support for people looking to trade the financial markets. More often than not there is a fundamental lack of continued support and genuine interest in the performance of students post completion of other course providers. Worse still the majority of novice traders do not have the foresight nor access to an educational program prior to starting to trade. This is very dangerous in a complex marketplace that is tantamount to aimless gambling.

This belief has led to the formation of the International Academy of Trading. Here we concentrate fully on the student – from the initial educational offering, trading support during education, to continued interaction and assistance post course completion. It is the needs of the student-trader which is constantly foremost in Tom and his fellow educators’ minds. The best trader needs to be humble knowing that his learning never ends. The markets are always good at providing a reminder of this.

Florian Penneveyre, Head of Trading Education, International Markets

A native of Geneva and a former professional footballer in Switzerland, Florian has more than 16 years of experience in international trading and trading education between Geneva & Dublin for several world-renowned multinationals.

A natural competitor Florian too is extremely passionate about every aspect of trading and particularly methods that minimize risks and compound gains.

An internationally renowned financial trading leader, Florian first started his trading career after the 2001 tech bubble and he took part in seminars in both North America and Europe in order to develop his own financial trading expertise in a communal structured format. This served him very well and that is why today he is so passionate about traders being part of a community.

Florian loves helping his trading students realise their financial goals. As with any discipline, he believes in hard work and learning from other masters of trading in the financial world. “The markets constantly change, and education and the support of like-minded, passionate traders is crucial in order to have sustained success”.

When Florian joined the International Academy of Trading, he had responsibility for French markets, but his responsibility quickly grew into all International markets due to his wealth of experience and infectious passion for results.
